The Steamrunner class starship, easily confused with the Akira class because of the similar "catamaran" nacelle arrangement, was created in CGI for the battle in Star Trek: First Contact. These two ships, along with the Norway and Saber classes, were designed by Alex Jeager at ILM, and they all feature similar design elements.
The Steamrunner Class Starship appeared
in Star Trek: First Contact. Not much is know about
this class. Its length is 307 M. It's only appearance in Star
Trek: First Contact could suggest that
it was a prototype, not ready for active duty.
