Miranda class
here is all the data i cauld find about the Miranda class:
The Miranda class starship made
it's first appearance in StarTrek II: Wrath of Khan as the U.S.S.
Reliant. This was the first time that is was established that the
Federation uses modular designs for their starships, the ship was
built primarily from parts of the Enterprise-A (which was, of
course, a cost saving measure during the production of the movie).
This model has appeared almost as often as the Excelsior, and has
been modified on several occasions to represent different ships.
Some notable variations are the U.S.S. Lantrey (Reliant minus the
"roll bar"), U.S.S. Saratoga (Reliant with some extra
weapons pods), and the U.S.S. Bozeman
