The Excelsior Class Starship is the
"workhorse" of Starfleet. It was introduced in the 23rd
Century and it is still widely used by Starfleet in the 24th
Century. The class was designed for
the use of the Transwarp drive. This experiement failed onboard
the USS Excelsior, so it was
converted to use standard warp drives. A refit was done on some
Excelsior-Class Starships,
their defensive systems were upgraded to standards. The length of
the Excelsior Class is 467 M.
The Excelsior class is the workhorse of StarFleet, 70% of all StarFleet vesals are Excelsior and Miranda class. The Excelsior class is much more powerful then the Miranda class, and almost as powerful as Nebula class. The Galaxy class is more powerful then the Excelsior class.
Ecselsior class starship a multi roll multy purpse ship, which is olso the most popular ship in the Federation. The Ecselsior class can do everything, form fighting to escorting to exploring, everything. The Ecselsior class starship is much more powerful then the old Miranda class, and it's almost as powerful as Nebula class, but it's smaller and more manuvreble.
